SANKALAN  (aka 'anthology'- hindi) is India's first ever 'Ideas to Screen' Script Lab conceived and designed by Mumbai based NGO  Baiscope Entertainment and presented by Mahindra Media and Entertainment Business.

But why   SANKALAN ?
The time has come to revive the art & the craft of story telling.

There are few writers, and even fewer story tellers..

Its time, we feel, for a Script Lab in India.

An opportunity which will help nurture ideas and concepts for films into full blown scripts that eventually will see the light of the day.

Scripts which will be made into films.

Hence - India's first ever 'Ideas to Screen'  contest  SANKALAN.

Contestants are invited to send in their concepts for feature films (live action or animation).

Mentored by 3 of India's  premium writers Anurag Kashyap (Black Friday, No Smoking) ; Anjum Rajabali (Ghulam , The Legend of Bhagat Singh) and  Sriram Raghavan (Ek Haseena Thi , Johnny Gaddar), SANKALAN  aims at sourcing and nurturing scripts over a period of 9 months.

The best of the scripts (language HINDI / HINGLISH only) will be made into feature films by Mahindra Media and Entertainment Business – new players in the Indian Cinema Space.

Closing date for entries is 29 July 2008.
